Frequently Asked Questions

What is 4B, 4C hair?

4B strands are densely packed and can bend in sharp angles like the letter Z. 4C textures are similar to 4B textures, but the strands are more tightly coiled and have a very tight zig-zag pattern that is sometimes indiscernible to the eye.

How do I measure the circumference of my head?

Below you will find a diagram that demonstrates how to measure your head for the wig:

Can my wig be straightened or curled?
We suggest treating the hair like it is your own hair. You can use a flat iron/hair straightener. But just as with your own natural hair, never use hot tools too often.

Can I dye or bleach the wig?

Our hair is 100% human hair and can be colored. As a general rule, it is easier to darken the hair than to lighten the hair. We highly recommend having your hairdresser dye the extensions. Coloring your hair yourself always poses a high risk of not coming out the shade you want. If you can not get to a salon, use a good quality hair dye and test a small sample first.

Can I wash my wig?

You can wash the hair as you would your own natural hair with shampoo and use conditioner. Please remember that because your hair is not attached to your scalp, it is not getting the oils it should be. We also recommend using a hair treatment on the wig every few weeks.

Can I return my purchase?

Due to the nature of this product we are unable to offer returns or refunds on unwanted goods.

It there is a fault with your product do not remove any lace from your wig and contact hello@thickandtextured.com within 48 hours of receiving your wig.

Please read the care guidelines. If you wish you change your wig order before receiving it you must do so within 48 hours of placing your order.

All wigs are made to order please make sure you have ordered correctly.

Why is my hair getting tangled?

Your hair can tangle due to dryness, oil, dirt build-up, and not combining (wide tooth comb) out your hair daily. Make sure to wash and comb our hair at least once a week, comb the hair daily, and use hydrating drops.

How long will my wig last?

This human hair can last for a long time as long as you maintain it. We suggest treating it like your own hair and take very good care of it to last longer.
